Self-guided instructional lessons on key skill areas. These lessons culminate with assignments for students to complete. Designed to be creative and engaging, these lessons can be assigned for at-home learning, independent study, and review and reinforcement of concepts.
These include an optional audio file. Teachers can utilize this feature in a number of ways. For example, prior to annotation and analysis, have students listen to the audio file while tracking along with the text. This will build familiarity with the language and vocabulary. Conversely, have students utilize the audio feature for review and reinforcement.
The K-1 Distance Learning Lessons include a variety of assignments spanning a range of foundational writing skills and strategies concurrent with the Empowering Writers methodology.
