Empowering Writers supports the language development of multilingual learners by intentionally connecting WIDA’s Key Language Uses from the Standards Framework (Narrate, Inform, Explain, and Argue) to explicit writing instruction and targeted lessons across the resource.
Through modeled writing, structured oral language opportunities, sentence-level support, and scaffolded academic conversations, students build the language skills needed to communicate ideas clearly and confidently.
