We encourage teachers to determine the workshop best suited to them based on the criteria, practices, and standards of the district and/or state in which they teach. All of our workshops use literature and/or published pieces of writing as a basis for instruction and have a powerful built-in vocabulary building component. We share numerous examples of actual student writing and related enrichment projects.

You Come to Us!
We host at least two workshops each month, August - June, in Connecticut and North Carolina. All workshops are approximately 5.5 hours. See our schedule and registration form for dates and workshop descriptions. Registration fee is payable in advance by check, credit card or purchase order.

• Your school or district may host an on-site Empowering Writers Workshop.
  
• Our on-site workshops are approximately 5.5 hours long and are delivered in an all-day single session.
  
• Minimum number of participants for on-site workshops: 30
  
• We offer significant discounts for on-site registration.
  
• After your school or district has taken part in training, you may take advantage of our support services. We provide on-site support at a per diem rate (5.5 hours).
• For on-site workshops requiring more than a 2-hour drive for the presenter, the district or school provides for travel, lodging, and meals. Travel expenses may include mileage, airfare, car rental, meals, tolls, and parking.
• For on-site workshops, the school will provide the following: a comfortable space, overhead projector and screen, VCR, flip chart, large display table for student samples, a small table for presentation supplies, and a cart at the door for transporting materials.
